One of the biggest challenges during the first-year of studies is the successful transition and adjustment of students from high school or military service to university life. We remain committed to supporting the academic success of every student.
Therefore, in addition to the support services we provide to our students during their studies, we offer additional activities before the beginning of the academic year to help make the transition from Secondary to Higher Education be as smooth as possible.
Ι. Preparatory Program: 8 September – 3 October 2025
The Preparatory Program is provided at no cost to incoming students and includes:
- Refresh your knowledge: Free intensive courses such as English, Mathematics, Architectural Design, Physics and others, according to your program of study.
- Empower yourself: Workshops for the development of academic and other skills that will equip you with the fundamental tools needed for a smooth transition to the University.
- Recreational and sports activities: Opportunities to explore, connect, and enjoy yourself through fun and engaging activities.
The first day of the preparatory program is Monday, September 8, at 10:00 at Frederick University, Nicosia campus and Limassol campus.
For first-year students of the Department of Architecture, the preparatory program will begin on Monday, September 15, at 10:00.

II. First-Year Orientation Day
All Fall 2025 new students are expected to attend the Orientation Day.
Nicosia Campus: Thursday, 2 October 2025
Limassol Campus: Friday, 3 October 2025
During the Orientation Day, you will have the opportunity to meet with faculty members of your program of study and with Student Welfare Service representatives. In addition, on the same day, you will register for your Fall 2025 courses and gain access to your semester timetable.
The final Orientation Schedule will be posted online soon.
III. Beginning of Fall 2025 semester
Fall 2025 classes begin on Monday, October 6, 2025. View the Academic Calendar 2025-26 here in order to find out the important semester dates and deadlines.

The final exams for the Spring Semester 2025 for distance learning programs will take place from May 28, 2025, to June 5, 2025.

Important Reminder:
Only students who have completed the identification process through Extranet by Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, are eligible to participate in the final exams. Students who have completed the process in a previous semester do not need to repeat it.

Frederick University announces the opening of the nomination/application process for the annual Michael Frederickou Excellence Awards for the academic year 2024-25.
The awards are presented for the fifth consecutive year in memory of the founder of our University, which this year celebrates its 60th anniversary. The awards aim to recognize and honor the actions that promote the values of Michael Frederickou and Frederick University: excellence in teaching, research and innovation, making an impact, and service to the community.
As students or graduates of Frederick University you can express interest and nominate yourself or nominate candidates for an award in the following categories:
Α. Nominate a Candidate
Ι. The following three are the categories for which you can nominate a candidate:
Category 1: Teaching Excellence Awards
Eligible: Faculty Members
The application can be found HERE and the deadline for submission is Sunday, May 25, 2025.
In order to nominate a candidate, each application must be submitted by at least three (3) students.
Category 2: The Sustainable Development Goals Actions Awards
Eligible: All member of the Frederick Community (faculty, administrative staff, students, graduates)

The Studies and Student Welfare Service of Frederick University announces that the Graduation Ceremonies for the academic year 2024-2025 will take place as follows:
Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the Limassol Municipal Open-Air Theatre at 20:00
Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at the Nicosia School for the Blind at 20:00
Graduates & Michael Frederickou Excellence Awards Ceremony
The ‘Graduates Awards Ceremony’ and the Michael Frederickou Excellence Awards will be presented on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at the Cyprus Theatre Organization (THOC) in Nicosia at 19:00.
During the Ceremony all PhD graduates will receive an award for their contribution to the research community.
Guests of Graduates
Each graduate will be allowed to invite to their Graduation Ceremony up to four (4) guests. You will be able to collect the invitations at the reception desk of the University in Nicosia and in Limassol at a later date. Invitations must be presented at the Venue's entrance.
Graduation Form (mandatory)
The graduation form can be found in Extranet (student services graduation form) and must be completed by the following students and graduates:
- Graduates who graduated in September 2024
- Graduates who graduated in Fall 2024
- Students who are expected to graduate this current Spring semester 2025
The graduation form is mandatory to be completed irrespective of whether you will attend or not the Graduation Ceremony. Those who want to attend the Graduation Ceremony must state it in the form.
