“Language is the primary vehicle of intellectual cultivation,” stated Rector of Frederick University, Professor George Demosthenous, during the awards ceremony of the 1st Pancyprian Spelling Competition for the 2025–2026 school year.

Andreas Poullikkas, Professor of Energy Systems at the School of Engineering, has been recognised as a 2025 “Highly Ranked Scholar” by the international analytics platform ScholarGPS, placing him among the top 0.05% of scholars worldwide in his field.

Frederick University has been awarded the Athena SWAN Bronze Award, one of the most widely recognized international frameworks for evaluating universities’ policies and practices in promoting gender equality in higher education and research.
