Frederick University has been awarded the Athena SWAN Bronze Award, one of the most widely recognized international frameworks for evaluating universities’ policies and practices in promoting gender equality in higher education and research.

Andreas Poullikkas, Professor of Energy Systems at the School of Engineering, has been recognised as a 2025 “Highly Ranked Scholar” by the international analytics platform ScholarGPS, placing him among the top 0.05% of scholars worldwide in his field.

Frederick University and I.A.CO Environmental & Water Consultants Ltd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at developing a meaningful and mutually beneficial collaboration in the fields of education, research, and innovation.

In light of the recent developments in Cyprus and the wider region, Frederick University wishes to assure its community that it is closely monitoring the situation and remains in continuous communication with the relevant state authorities and the University’s Health and Safety Office. 

Marked by moving moments and meaningful tributes, the Anniversary Event celebrating Frederick’s 60 years of contribution to education in Cyprus took place on 18 February. The anniversary celebration was held at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre before a packed audience.
